Deshabandu Wilbert Kaggodaarachchi was a distinguished Sri Lankan entrepreneur and the visionary founder of Hotel Lanka Super Corals. He was honoured with the “Deshabandu” award, the third-highest national recognition in Sri Lanka, presented by the Government for his highly meritorious and distinguished service to the nation.
Beyond hospitality, he was a successful cinnamon planter and estate owner, contributing significantly to Sri Lanka’s renowned cinnamon industry. He also operated his own textile mill and processing plant, showcasing his entrepreneurial strength across multiple sectors.
He later passed on the leadership to the second generation, Mr. Devmith Kaggodaarachchi, who took over his responsibilities as Chairman / Managing Director, continuing the vision and legacy of the hotel.
His dedication, business acumen, and commitment to excellence laid the foundation for Hotel Lanka Super Corals, which continues to reflect his legacy of quality, resilience, and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality.
